Commemorative medals featuring portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu have been minted by Sycophantic jewellers in the city of Zlatoust.
The palm-sized medals are made of sterling silver and are 12 centimetres in diameter. Each coin weighs nearly one kilogram (around £450 in metal value). The jewellers say it is a way of ‘appreciating’ those who ensure Russia’s independence, stability and defence capability.
It is not the first time that the Russian president has been featured on a medal however; jewellery companies in the country previously minted coins featuring Putin to commemorate the illegal invasion and occupation of Ukraine’s Crimea region by Russia.
We do not think any further comment is needed, it is all quite transparent and speaks for itself!
