Tibetan Parliament opens new budget session

Dharamshala — The budget session for the financial year 2017-2018 of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile began today. This is the third session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament. Tibetan government remembers those killed in 1989 Tibet protests

Dharamshala — In remembrance of the demonstrators who were killed in the 1989 protests in Tibet, the Tibetan government-in-exile organised a prayer service this morning, March 8th. The hour long service, held by the Department of Religion and Culture of the Central Tibetan Administration, comes just 26 years after Chinese authorities declared martial law and opened fire on protests, killing hundreds of peaceful Tibetan demonstrators.
